I am in love. In love with this song. Words can't describe how in love I am with the song. The melody, the lyrics, everything...is just beautiful. Without MUKHSIN , I will never know this song. If I didn't go for the movie premiere, I will never feel the emotions behind the song. If I only listen to the french version, I will never undertstand what it is about. So many ifs, and I'm glad I watched the movie. Thank you for the invitation. Why I chose the english version over the french version? Its simply because, I don't speak french and I don't understand a single word sang by Nina Simone, so it's harder for me to feel what I a supposed to feel. But I will have to admit that the original version of the song, NE ME QUITTE PAS, is better.I think the lyrics are just so, pure. If you love someone, sincerely, this is what you'll do, if the person that you love, is leaving you. How sad, and yes...I am a hopeless romantic. I hope it's not wrong for me to admit that. Hopefully I am not that hopeless. I found few renditions of this song. Am listening to it and will do it over and over again.

At first, I thought thee movie is just okay. Nothing really special about the movie. It's very Yasmin Ahmad. I've seen all of her movies except for RABUN ( I didn't get to watch it on TV actually). I love her work. It's so sincere. Many people would think that MUKHSIN is just an odinary teenage movie but believe me it's not. It is also not an extraordinary work but it's special and it's in the league of it's own. The tagline is simple yet it's so true. "Everyone has a first love story to tell" and it's true. Evryone has. I have. But it is not one that I would want to think of it ever again. Simply because it is not as good as Orkid and Mukhsin story. Mine ended with sadness. Sadness that I wish won't happen to anyone else. Sadness that I chose to experience. Silly silly me. Anyway, I am not gonna tell or talk about my first love story. My story is not worth telling. Believe me.
I'm not really good at giving review especially if it's regarding films or dramas. I don't have that very much knowledge in this area. When I watch a movie, if I could understand the movie and I don't have questions that can't be answered, it's good enough for me. If I am moved by the story, means the movie is a great movie, for me. As long as I'm satisfied with the acting and all, nothing can make me to not like the movie. I'm just ordinary person. Like other ordinary audience. I want satisfaction. That's all. To my readers, I would suggest you to go and watch this movie. It will bring back all of your childhood memories and how I wish I could have those kind of memories. Lets just say that MUKHSIN is a great movie with powerful performance by the actors and I don't know what's the title of the keoncong song, but if anyone has it, please give it to me because the intro has been playing on my mind over and over again and I like the lyrics. "Mega mendung di bla bla bla"..I can't remember the rest but I kind know the melody. I guess that's all for now. Goodnite ya'll.
